exclusive child photographer, say what!?

...i've had a hannah montana overload today :o) ...forgive me.

i've actually gotten a couple emails regarding my last post...i should clarify an important point.

as an exclusive newborn & children's photographer, i will be focusing my work on those subjects, but it's important to point out that i have always advocated mom sneaking into some shots (even if she resists...i get my way!) & even grabbing a real-life family portrait if dad's available!

 

the connection between a momma & her baby is children's portraiture! so to answer your email concerns...i will continue to capture these sweet, emotional memories as a part of any newborn/baby or children's session :o)

 

(good grief! in thinking/looking through images to add to help illustrate this post...i was overwhelmed with lots of favorite 'connection' shots! i could post all night, but decided on one new & one old fave. how could i not continue to capture these emotional connections!?)

if you are seeking strictly family portraiture, i'm happy to refer you to a photographer more suited for that.

i hope everyone had a fabulous Independence day! God Bless America, land that i LOVE :o) brother mike preached an amazing patriotic message that got me all fired up this morning...freedom isn't free & our nation that was founded on 'In God we Trust' and the very idea of independence has & is turning it's back on those very principals that make us the greatest nation in the world. my country & her leaders are in my prayers each & every day...please remember them in yours.

they are somewhat neglected by my camera during this busy season, but that just means they cooperate better when i occasionally go after a together shot. it helps, of course, that they're swimming :o)

my roo may not have her sibling's gorgeous blue eyes, but she does have highly reflective ones...a photographer's dream!

tomorrow's the big day!?!

teehee...i couldn't resist ;o) this is when baby a first met me...one of the first pics i snapped. i admit i can act a bit goofy for the little ones, and after seeing this candid reaction i don't mind it one bit!

so...tomorrow morning we're headed in to start the road to meeting the littlest magee.

they'll amnio first thing to make sure her lungs are mature...i hit 37 weeks today, so that's full term & they expect them to be. from there they'll induce with the expectation that once she's out & all the inside workings do their reversal & cetain valves of the heart close off as a result of being born-that her little heart will correct itself.

that's our hope & prayer & we appreciate your prayers tomorrow too...so much. (you can also specifically pray that i don't have to have a c-section while your at it.)

we'll have the laptop & wifi, so i'll try to post just as soon as i'm able :o)

i snuck in one last session before baby magee makes her debut, and i'm glad i was able to! her mommy & aunt are very 'all about the internet & blogs & such' so they get a sneak peak ;o)

miss 'a' has me quite excited about having my own little person to snuggle & snap! she's also my first 'grow with me' baby for 2009 ...how fun it will be to watch her through the year!

alright, angela...i'll be sending you a password to her gallery in the next day or so. (amazing how speedily i can work under a little time constraint preasure; i've surprised myself!) it was so great to meet everyone today! i look very forward to watching miss 'a' across the next year :o)
