...for baby magee.
at a routine doctor's appointment tuesday morning, dr. richardson heard an irregular heartbeat on the dopler thingy. i was sent to smrmc to be monotored while he delivered a c-section baby that he was called out for during my appt.
long story short...baby magee & i were placed in the very capable hands of the doctors at umc in jackson that day, where we learned that:
...ambulance rides are very bumpy and there is, in fact a good reason they carry aluminum foil aboard ;o)
...my baby girl is literally dancing to the beat of her own drum & was rather uncooperative with the sonogram that evening, ensuring us a night's stay at the hospital.
...she cooperates on her own time & upon another sonogram the doctors were able to see that, yes, her heartbeat is irregular (likely premature atrial contractions). this is something seen farely common according to my doctors...hers is just more pronounced than normally seen.
...her heart's development looks perfect; everything as it should be structure-wise :o)
...she is handling the irregular heartbeat like a champ...no signs of stress to her at all.
sooo...we got to come home for christmas wednesday afternoon & have an appointment bright & early tuesday morning with another specialist at umc.
chuck & i feel much more at ease knowing her heart is developed correctly & believe & pray that this will all work itself out while she's baking away in there :o)
we do ask that friends & family keep her in your prayers...god knows what he is doing & we trust that he's in total control. also, please pray for the doctor's there at umc...that he empowers them to handle whatever it is that is going on.
i certainly hope everyone had a very merry christmas! and i'll keep you all updated on the little miss magee (gosh...i can't wait to share her name, but want to keep it secret 'til she arrives) and her ticker. by the way...she's a cutie...cheeky cheeks & a perfect little pug nose, it looks like!
