it's been a beautiful saturday. warm out, sunshine, slight breeze. the breeze has held us back from dunking the roo in the pool, but today was the day!
aunt dedee got her a swimsuit before she even arrived, & it was perfect. slather on some aveeno sunscreen & we're ready!
she looks way pale in this photo...she actually has some nice color from our morning walks & softball tournys :o)
the sun was tough on her, lol...we did the hat thing, but it wouldn't stay on very well & her head wanted some rays to keep warm :o) (that's what baby hair looks like with sunscreen in it, lol)
she loved the water. she love, loved watching ben swim around. she'd follow him with her eyes under water & talk to him when he'd surface. she loves her big brother. loves him!
she can sit on that first step...i see her playing on the steps by herself toward the end of the summer. if i have my way, she'll be swimming like a wee little fish :o) my kidlets get submerged in the bath from the get-go...they only know water in their face, so the pool is nothing new! no floaties allowed & no nose holding...i'm mean like that!
alright we've tooled around enough...time for a dunk! she went under & back up like a champ :o) made her hair look better too ;o)
shortly after this particular picture was taken, pailyn was d-o-n-e. bennett was holding her & she pinched him (the roo mustalways be holding something, if not something...she'll grab hold of your skin, lol) ...she got him good & he squealed like a little girl...sorry, ben, but you know you did! he seriously scared the life out of her! she got very upset (like worse than when i "boo"ed her mom, at your house) & didn't want to calm down so we went in, got dried off & she's working on a 2 hour nap.
long naps are non-existant around here...but, true story...i had to wake miss p up at 12:30 this afternoon after sleeping through the night...she went down at about 11:45. i hate to wake her up-ever, but half past noon! she took a little while to get awake...makes me wonder how long she would have actually snoozed?
well, there you have it...the roo's first of many swims! it was fun, fun!
