way cute!
at four months.
::::the roo sleeps 11-12 hours at night. no wake ups. beside me in her bassinet for the most part. she's down between eleven at night & one am, but i'll take it. today i woke her up at 11:40...it was just time.
::::i've introduced food with a spoon. although she's had rice-shakes for months (in an effort to keep her milk down; my little spitter-upper!) she sooo didn't like rice cereal with a spoon. neither did bennett. so, oatmeal cereal was a hit.
if you follow my roo, you know she has a tongue otta-the-mouth issue :o) that made for some messy meals, but mix a little applesauce in there & i saw her open her mouth like a little bird for the first time in her little life (actually her nana did when she kept her for me while i was being 'busy photographer' for a day this past week)
::::she's mastered sweet potatoes, applesauce, and squash. of all, the squash gets her the most excited. i've tried them all & all that squash needs is a dash of salt, lol...not too bad :o) next up is peaches...mmmm!
::::add 15 minutes to any walmart trip that includes my roo in her sling. "honey...come look at the little baby!" "have you ever seen such a thing?!" "she looks so content" "my daughter in law is pregnant, does that thing really work?" "is she new?" "she's so little!" "my grandaughter....(insert 3 minute long story here)" ...are we the only people in pike county to venture out of the house in a sling? and the sweet lady at my church "you need to get her out of that thing...you're going to damage her spine." :o)
i'm amazed each time we're in public with the attention that thing gets, but i'm spoiled to it's comfort & so is that roo. she likes her pouch. we will continue to use it!
::::her little self is getting bigger. she's a petite (read: a runt). ten & a half pounds at her 4 month check-up. i think she's perfect & she is healthy, so she is perfect! she's still in 0-3 month size, which means i'm getting my money's worth out of her clothes ;o) we recently graduated to size one diapers.
::::she's a hollerer. she likes to be loud! and she is loud. i can tell she has something to say & wants to get it across...she's going to be chatty once she's able, i have no doubt.
::::no toy is as entertaining as her own two feet. except maybe the 'noodle toy' bought with the walmart gift card pailyn won at the family reunion for being the youngest. that and her blanky or any article of clothing she can get into her mouth.
::::she can get her entire little fist into her mouth, although 3 fingers to chew & suck on seems to be her favorite combination. she quite possibly slobbers a gallon a day. if not more.
::::she adores her daddy's voice, her big brother's silliness, and her sister's attempts at startling her. she adores me when i have a spoon in my hand, unless it doesn't move fast enough toward her mouth.
::::she is sweet at church. she lights up & smiles at every. single. person that greats her. i think she really likes getting dressed up pretty-ly.
::::she is doing better this week about taking a decent nap by herself. you go girl!
::::she is loved!
